As you finally reach the decision to stop using opiates, you should be very proud of yourself. It’s difficult for someone to think past their addiction long enough to see the inevitability of disaster. As you may know, quitting opiates can come with withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms make it important to seek out a medical opiate detox center such as ours in Southern California.
In 2018 over 10 million people aged 12 or older used opiates in the last year.
9.9 million people aged 12 or older struggled with pain reliever misuse in 2018.

Never been through a program before but glad it was here. Staff and counselors were very good and easy to talk to. Meals were good n plenty and then some. Thank you for helping me get my life back on track. Munoz PerformanceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is a great program. It feels impossible for me to adequately put into words what Phoenix Rising and their staff means to me. It’s been 9 months since I arrived there, totally broken, hopeless, scared, sick, sad, and ashamed. I was on the verge of death, either by suicide or my failing health due to my addiction and total breakdown. And now, I have hope, I have sobriety, and my life back. Their program is so special and so well rounded. They think outside of the box with their treatment and make mindful accommodations when necessary. Aside from the usual offerings of therapy, trauma work, 12 step meetings and sober fun days outside of the facility, there is meditation and sound baths, misc outings (hello mani pedi day and softball) and hiking, beautiful pools to swim in, art therapy, writing therapy, and so much more. You learn the science and psychology of addiction, trauma and recovery. You are fed delicious food. Most importantly, you are surrounded by a staff who cares so much. Whomever is responsible for their hiring has a true gift for choosing the right people. If you’re reading this and wondering, please go. Go to this safe, healing place. Go with an open heart, open mind, and willingness. Save yourself. Save your life. Heal. Learn. Grow. Thank you Genevieve, for being the incredible backbone of the facility. Thank you Candice, for being my mama goose- for your warm hug and telling me “you’re home now. You’re safe” as I exited the car crying and defeated on my arrival. Thank you Brie, Chelsi, Jordan, Meditation Mark, and Michelle. I remember and cherish you all. I’m so thankful for you. I’m doing well guys!!! I’m hiking and dreaming and working and cherishing all the things I love!!! I am alive. Lisa DockeryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place was amazing! It is important to understand that while you struggle with the opiate detox symptoms, you will eventually break through to the other side. Recovery can be a beautiful part of your life, and it is possible, no matter how you may feel when you’re amid withdrawal.
If that doesn’t convince you, remember that every opiate has severe long term health effects. Addiction is a killer, and unless you defeat it by going through detox and withdrawal, it will eventually destroy every part of your life.
At all times, our concern will be for the client’s well-being. Many patients enter treatment within a few hours of missing their last injection or pill. Knowing the withdrawal symptoms will begin within the first few hours, we immediately prescribe the proper opiate detox program.
It’s common for clinicians to prescribe a medically-monitored program. The advantage of such a program is it places the client under the direct supervision of the facility’s medical staff.
. At our opiate detox center Palm Springs facility, we prefer the client to go through withdrawal as naturally as possible. However, our medical staff will be constantly monitoring the client’s progress. Therefore, should they begin to show signs of distress, our doctors have the option to offer prescription medication.
The standard opiate detox program runs about seven days. If the client’s addiction has deep roots, it’s quite possible they will need a “tapering” detox program. This kind of program allows the client to detox at a slower and safer rate to avoid complication.
When the detox process finishes, the client should be ready to move on to an opiate addiction rehab center.
Aside from the services we offer at our opiate detox center in Palm Springs, CA, we also offer a full menu of addiction counseling services. We have developed our custom treatment programs to address the needs of a wide range of clients. For us, success comes in the form of clients establishing a lasting recovery.
Many people try to attempt their detox from home using remedies they learn from others, one method being Kratom. Kratom is a plant-based substance derived from the leaves of Mitragyna speciosa, has gained popularity as a natural remedy for managing pain and opioid withdrawal symptoms by targeting the mu-opioid receptors. However, using kratom for opiate or opiod detox is not recommended due to risks of using the substance, including addiction.
Given the risks, it is safer and more effective to use medically supervised detox programs that include FDA-approved medications. These medications have been proven to help manage withdrawal symptoms and support individuals through the detox process without introducing new dependencies or health risks.
